Life, Mapped. is committed to ensuring our digital content and programmes are accessible to everyone regardless of ability, disability, or technology. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to science-based education and we are actively working to make that a reality.
We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our digital content including our website, Terrain Audit, programme materials, emails, and live video calls. Our current efforts include:
Using clear plain language across all written content so it is readable by as wide an audience as possible.
Providing replays of all live calls within 24 hours so participants can access content at their own pace, in their own environment, and with any assistive technology they use.
Ensuring our email content is readable across all devices and email clients including screen readers.
Using sufficient colour contrast in our digital materials to support participants with visual impairments.
Providing text-based content alongside any visual materials where possible.
Designing our programme structure to be flexible — self-paced content within a defined window — to accommodate participants who need more time or a different pace.
